2025 Global Korea Scholarship is now open for applicants!

Global Korea Scholarship is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea at graduate-level degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.

All applicants must hold citizenship of NIIED designated countries that are invited to take part in the GKS program.

The Korean Embassy in Ireland will accept Embassy track applicants of Irish Nationals ONLY.

Application Date: from now until Feburary 27th(Thu) 4pm

Apply to: Post or submit by person your completed application and documents to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (72 Merrion Square South, Dublin 2, D02TW54)

※ Applicants must ensure that their completed application forms arrive at the embassy in full by February 27th if applying by post.

Result Announcement: March 5th(Wed), individually notice

Interview Date: March 11th(Tue) (Estimated)

Before submitting your application place every document by the checklist, if the documents are not by the designated sort or lack necessary information you will be disqualified to apply.

Candidate(s) selected by the Korean Embassy from the interview will have their documentation forwarded to NIIED (National Institute for International Education) who will make their final decision and announce the results on the end of June.

Applicants who are expected to graduate by July 31, 2025 can also apply for the program with a certificate of expected graduation and grades for all completed semesters at the time of application. Such applicants must submit their official graduation certificate (or diploma) and final academic transcript to GKS Center, NIIED by July 31, 2025. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your acceptance.
